Regional Parks and Trails
Your hosts are avid hikers who were drawn to this region by the stunning beauty of its hiking and cycling trails.
The Coastal Trail in East Sooke Regional Park, for example, is possibly one of the most scenic coastal day hikes in British Columbia. The Juan de Fuca Trail on the other hand is generally a multi-day hike with varying eco-systems from old growth forest to estuaries and tide pools.
The Galloping Goose Trail is a spectacular cycling/walking trail that connects with the Lochside Trail and allows cyclists to peddle from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal or the Victoria International Airport all the way to Sooke while meandering through beautiful woodlands and coastal scenery.
