Haiti Concert

What a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than to send a message of love, support and compassion to those people most in need?

With that in mind, the highly acclaimed musical community of Sooke, is putting on the Open your Heart to Haiti Concert on Sunday, February 14 at 2PM at Sooke Community Theatre (EMCS), 6218 Sooke Rd, Sooke.

 

Participating in this exciting event are members of the Sooke Philharmonic Chamber Players and Chorus, under the direction of Norman Nelson and Wade Noble along with:
  • Ekoos Vocal Ensemble
  • Grace Notes
  • Kim Brandt (guitar)
  • Mary Brown
  • Nancy Washeim
  • The Pothole Pipers
  • The Sooke Community Choir

Doors open at 1:30PM and admission is by donation. The concert is sponsored by the EMCS Society, Sooke Moving & Storage, Sooke Fax & Copy Centre, and Village Food Markets.

Beneficiaries will include registered charities directly involved in supporting the relief operations in Haiti. Sooke Rotary Club will be on hand to answer questions on the Shelter Box program, one of the beneficiaries.
